JAY-Z NAMED NEW PUMA CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Will he ever fall off? No. Adding more speculation on the money he makes, JAY-Z adds another business move to his lengthy resume. It was announced today, the music mogul has been appointed the new creative director for PUMA.

In addition to Jay’s new role, the athletic footwear and apparel brand plans to relaunch their basketball division and are inquiring draft prospects DeAndre Ayton from Arizona University, Marvin Bagley III from Duke University, and Zhaire Smith from Texas Tech as brand ambassadors.

“We’ve been working with Roc Nation for quite some time. They’ve been great partners to us for several years. We’ve done many different deals with many different ambassadors,” Adam Petrick, Puma’s global director of brand and marketing, told Complex. When Puma approached him about this opportunity, JAY-Z felt it “was something he wanted to be a part of,” according to Petrick.
