Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Ye, and More Lead 2025 Grammy Nominations

Nominations for the 67th Annual Grammy Awards were announced on Friday, November 8, 2024, with Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, and Post Malone leading the pack.

Beyoncé garnered an impressive 11 nominations, primarily for her country album Cowboy Carter and its lead single “Texas Hold ‘Em.” She is competing in major categories such as Album of the Year and Song of the Year, along with additional nominations for tracks like “II Most Wanted” featuring Miley Cyrus, “Ya Ya,” and “16 Carriages”. This achievement ties her with the record for the most nominations in Grammy history.

Kendrick Lamar’s track “Not Like Us” received nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Song. He also earned nods for his contributions to Future and Metro Boomin’s song “Like That”.

In the Best Rap Song category, Lamar faces competition from GloRilla’s “Yeah Glo!”, Ye and Ty Dolla Sign’s “Carnival,” and Rapsody’s “Asteroids” featuring Hit-Boy. Notably, first-time nominee Doechii is in the running for Best New Artist, alongside Shaboozey, Sabrina Carpenter, Teddy Swims, and others.

The Best Rap Album category features a diverse lineup, including Future and Metro Boomin’s We Don’t Trust You, Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), Common and Pete Rock’s The Auditorium Vol. 1, Doechii’s Alligator Bites Never Heal, and J. Cole’s Might Delete Later. Interestingly, both J. Cole’s and Doechii’s projects are categorized as mixtapes.
