MEGAN THEE STALLION AND POPEYES TEAM UP FOR NEW ‘HOTTIE SAUCE’

Megan Thee Stallion and Popeyes are bringing the heat.

The “Savage” rapper has teamed up with the Louisiana chicken chain as part of an extensive partnership that includes her very own hot sauce.
Starting Oct. 19, Popeyes’ customers can spice up their Popeyes Chicken Sandwich or chicken nuggets with Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce, a sweet and bold sauce with a hint of spice, inspired by Megan’s sassy personality.

The Hot Girl worked closely with the Popeyes’ culinary team to develop the sauce, which is a mix of honey, cider vinegar, and Aleppo pepper. The sauce will be offered alongside the chain’s other side dipping sauces and marks the first time Popeyes has released a new version of its signature menu item. The collaboration also includes three limited edition merchandise lines, designed by Megan herself. The first collection–dubbed “Thee Heat”– will include bikinis, long sleeve shirts, hats, tumblers, and Popeyes chicken tenders plush dog toys, and releases at noon on Oct. 19. Two additional merch drops will occur in November.

And to sweeten the deal, Megan is becoming a franchise owner of her very own Popeyes restaurant. She and Popeyes will also make a six-figure donation to Houston Random Acts of Kindness, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the welfare of the Houston community.

“I’m appreciative of Popeyes commitment to empowering Black women and look forward to opening Popeyes Restaurants,” Megan said in a statement. “Teaming up with Popeyes is such a milestone in my journey and evolution as an entrepreneur. I’ve always been a fan of the Popeyes brand and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join the brand and help create the new Megan Thee Stallion Hottie Sauce for their line-up.”

Megan is the latest rapper to get into the fast-food business. Travis Scott and Saweetie previously partnered with McDonald’s on its Famous Order Meals. Taco Bell named Lil Nas X its “Chief Impact Officer,” while Burger King enlisted Nelly to promote its Keep It Real Meals.
