Queensbridge rapper Nas has recently signed a deal with liquor brand Hennessy for their Wild Rabbit campaign. As part of the campaign, the man who CNN named “The Best Lyricist Ever” will perform a private concert in New York City on Tuesday, January 15. The event will be live-streamed, and for those who miss it, Nas’ performance will be available for download on Facebook. Before the performance, the rapper will also participate in a special Q&A session where fans can submit questions to Hennessy’s official Twitter account, @HennessyUS, and have them answered live. “This partnership with Hennessy has been almost two decades in the making,” Nas said. “I am honored to be included in the group of previous partners Hennessy has selected over the years and hope this campaign will inspire others to ‘never stop, never settle.'” Hennessy’s Wild Rabbit campaign was launched last year and has featured boxer Manny Pacquaio, director Martin Scorcese, and singer Erykah Badu. Last Friday (January 11), the 39-year old rapper was hospitalized with vertigo. He was scheduled to perform on Live! With Kelly and Michael, but had to cancel. Nas later tweeted that he was out of the hospital and doing fine. “Peace y’all. I’m out of the ER & doin alright. I’m on bed rest for a few. Apologies to everyone @ Live w/Kelly and Michael. I’ll make it up,” the Life Is Good emcee wrote.
