Nicki Minaj returned to Queen Radio and she brought some surprises with her.
On the first episode of 2019, the Queen dropped two freestyles including Lil Baby and Gunna’s “Drip Too Hard” and Meek Mill and Drake’s “Going Bad.” On the latter, she raps about her new boo Kenneth Petty (“Neck tats say Onika”), surpassing Aretha Franklin’s Hot 100 record (“I got more slaps than Aretha”), and took some subliminal shots at Cardi B (“Imitating Nicki while your ghostwriter dissing me”).
She also possibly references Drake (“Oh boy, my brother tried to end me”) and her ex Meek’s court case. “I was in the court, no Jays and Beys / Made a change of mind in the judge chambers, sleaze,” she raps.
Despite the reference to Beyoncé and JAY-Z, Nicki made it clear that she is not dissing the Carters. “I’m just stating facts, not disrespecting them,” she said. “I love them. They’ve done more than enough for me.”
